Bathymetric Survey of the Connecticut River                          
White River Junction to Vernon, Vermont.

Working as a subcontractor for ENSR International, Inc., CR conducted a challenging bathymetric survey of an eighty mile, multi-impoundment section of the Connecticut River (included reaches behind Wilder Dam, the Brattleboro Dam & Vernon Dam).  Project survey depths ranged from 2.1- to 85-feet in river reaches with up to 5-knots of current.  The data will be used in a watershed-scale update of FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Maps for New Hampshire and Vermont. 

The survey was conducted using CR's jonboat equipped with a Trimble DGPS and ODEC echosounder.  Hypack MAX hydrographic software was used for data acquisition and processing.
