Cultural Resources & Geophysical Survey
New Bedford Harbor, MA

CR Environmental supported John Milner Assoc. and Foster Wheeler Environmental Corporation on a geophysical and marine archaeological survey in New Bedford Harbor.  Bathymetric, side-scan, sub-bottom and magnetic data were collected in the outer, lower, and upper harbor to identify any cultural resource areas and map surface and sub-surface features.

The 32-ft survey vessel Cyprinodon was outfitted with a bow pulpit to support shallow water side-scan operations. The stern A-frame and hydraulic winch were used to deploy and recover the sub-bottom towfish.

Equipment utilized during the survey included:

·

·
Edgetech X-Star  SBP
