Bathymetric Survey Supporting Dredge Feasibility Assessment
Seabrook - Hampton Harbor, Seabrook, New Hampshire

In December 2002, CR Environmental performed a detailed bathymetric  survey for the Maguire Group, Inc.'s Portsmouth, NH office to address the need for maintenance of the navigation channel leading into the harbor.  The survey consisted of 140 survey lines oriented perpendicular to the channel, spaced 25-feet apart and extending into sandy shoals above mean lower water.  Survey gear included a digital 200-kHz ODEC echo sounder, a Trimble  DGPS, a data logging tide gage, and HYPACK survey software.  The project met all ACOE hydrographic standards for detailed pre-dredge and structural analysis.  The survey was performed from CR's S/V SeaHawk.

CR prepared detailed bathymetric maps of the survey area and delivered all data products to project engineers in GIS and CAD formats.   The data has helped the Maguire Group analyze potential hazards to navigation and calculate expected dredge volumes .
