Lake Mirimichi Ecological Risk Assessment - Biological Surveys

As an integral part of an ecological risk characterization for a warm-water lake adjacent to a solid waste disposal facility, CR Environmental collected fish tissue samples from selected trophic levels and size classes of several species, performed quantitative bioassessments of the benthic and epiphytic macroinvertebrate communities, documented the distribution of aquatic plant species, and collected sediment and surface water samples.  CR also performed a detailed wetlands and wildlife assessment of the area surrounding the lake and the landfill.
